Siniouguine v. Mediachase, Ltd., 2012 WL 2317364 (C.D. Cal. June 11, 2012)—Obtained summary judgment in favor of client software development company on the issue of its ownership of the copyright its computer programs. The court ruled that the programs were "works-made-for-hire" under the Copyright Act and were developed by the plaintiff computer programmer within the course and scope of his employment.
