Professional Experience

Ms. Heimberger’s practice focuses on commercial and intellectual property litigation.  Her experience includes litigation in business contract and tort cases; trademark, copyright and patent infringement; trade secret misappropriation; unfair competition; domain name disputes and employee movement.  Ms. Heimberger also manages international and U.S. trademark portfolios for clients in diverse industries, and represents clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. 

Ms. Heimberger has provided these services to clients in a wide variety of industries, including e-commerce, financial services, real estate services, computer software, medical devices, herbal supplements, aerospace, news and entertainment, wine, and charitable organizations, as well as to individuals.

Ms. Heimberger was a senior member of the trial team led by Barry W. Lee and Robert A. Zeavin in Manatt’s successful representation of ICO Global Communications (Holdings) Limited, against The Boeing Company and its Boeing Satellite Systems International subsidiary, which resulted in the largest total damages award in the U.S. for 2008.  The jury’s award to ICO, with interest and punitive damages, exceeded $600 million for fraud, tortious interference and breach of contract.
