Mr. Rutenberg has experience in a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters involving real estate, hospital-physician staff privilege disputes, intellectual property and false advertising, and a wide range of commercial disputes, including unfair competition (including Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 17200 et seq.), franchise, defamation, and product liability claims.
Mr. Rutenberg has represented clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through trial and appeal, as well as mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He represents publicly traded and private companies, including their officers and directors, and has represented these clients in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Mr. Rutenberg was named a Southern California Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine in 2007 and 2008.
