Janson Mao is an associate in the Business, Finance & Tax division in Manatt’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Mao’s practice focuses on corporate and securities matters, including venture capital, private equity and hedge fund formation and investments, public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and other general corporate representation.
Prior to joining Manatt, Mr. Mao was an associate at a large international law firm, where he represented both sponsors and investors in connection with the formation, capitalization, restructuring and management of private investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, funds of funds, hybrid funds and real estate funds. In addition, Mr. Mao has experience in providing regulatory advice to investment advisers, including compliance with the U.S. Investment Advisers Act and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
