Jubin is an associate in the Land, Environment and Natural Resources practice group of the firm’s Los Angeles office. Jubin’s practice focuses on a wide variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, construction, leasing and financing. In addition, he advises landlords on leasing and management issues for shopping centers.
Prior to joining Manatt, Jubin was the head of the derivatives practice and the energy practice for a full-service law firm. In his prior role, Jubin negotiated master trading agreements for commodity derivatives, foreign exchange transactions, rate swaps, and equity swaps. He also negotiated security agreements, guaranties and letters of credit providing credit support for derivatives transactions. Most of his experience involved complex cross-border transactions with foreign counterparties in Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and the Middle East. On the energy side, Jubin negotiated agreements for the purchase and sale of petroleum, natural gas, electricity and renewable energy products, gaining expertise in industry standard agreements relating to both domestic and foreign energy trading, such as the LEAP, NAESB, EFET, and EEI master agreements. Jubin also has experience in structuring asset management agreements and energy tolling agreements.
