Professional Experience
Ms. Bartow is a partner in the Palo Alto office where she focuses her IP practice on complex litigation, enforcement and counseling relating to trademark and trade dress infringement, trademark dilution, right of publicity, copyright, unfair competition and false advertising.
Ms. Bartow represents clients in all phases of litigation, both in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also assists clients in enforcing and defending their trademarks and other intellectual property rights, both domestically and internationally. Ms. Bartow has assisted clients from diverse industries, including technology, Internet, retail, consumer products, wine, natural products, apparel companies, financial institutions, health care and entertainment, in developing and executing protection and monetization strategies for trademarks, copyrights and publicity rights.
Ms. Bartow’s IP counseling practice also covers the protection and commercialization of service marks, trade names, trade dress, domain names, creative advertising and other legal intangibles, including license agreements and assignments of license agreements. She has helped many clients resolve Internet domain name disputes and is regularly tapped by the firm’s M&A lawyers to address the IP aspects of such transactions, including IP due diligence and IP integration efforts.
Prior to joining Manatt, Ms. Bartow spent four years with the law firm of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, LLP, where her focus also was IP and complex commercial litigation and, prior to that, she was with the litigation boutique of Futterman and Dupree, LLP.
