Manatt Partner Lisa Specht Featured in C-Suite Quarterly's "On the Board"

C-Suite Quarterly profiled Manatt's Lisa Specht, a partner in the firm's Real Estate and Land Use practice, in its "On the Board" section of the latest issue. The section profiles accomplished, tenured professionals who are in high demand for their time but also provide support to charities of their choice. C-Suite Quarterly says that the four individuals spotlighted in the Quarter 4 2014 issue "exemplify the true spirit of transcendent philanthropy."

In addition to her law practice, Specht serves as board chair of The Music Center, one of the largest and most highly regarded performing arts centers in the country. In its profile of Specht, C-Suite Quarterly reports that The Music Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Music Center is an umbrella organization overseeing world-class resident performing companies that include the LA Phil, LA Opera, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Center Theater Group. When asked why she gives, Specht said:

"What we do for others in the community, by giving back, enriches their lives and enriches our souls. It is with that spirit and understanding that I have focused my energies to help specific communities gain access - to education, to the arts, and to opportunities for success - so that their lives are made better, and mine more worthwhile."

Specht has also been a trustee of Pitzer College for more than 20 years, and she is a major supporter of various women's organizations.
