    Profile

    Sandra Rivera counsels clients regarding legal, legislative, administrative and regulatory issues. She represents clients before the New York State Legislature, the State of New York Executive Chamber and various New York State agencies.

    Ms. Rivera has over 15 years of experience working on legal and policy issues in connection with New York State government. Prior to joining Manatt, she was in the government relations practice of a another prominent Albany firm, where she addressed issues related to technology, healthcare, criminal justice and social justice. Before that, Ms. Rivera served as a legislative representative for the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) and New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), working with their members and advancing their agendas before the Legislature and Executive Chamber. She began her public affairs career in the Office of the Majority Leader of the New York State Assembly.
