Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation ProgramOctober 3, 2012New York, NY
On October 3, 2012, the Advertising Self-Regulatory Council and the Council of Better Business Bureaus will host the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP) Summit immediately following the National Advertising Division Conference. The ERSP event is tailored to marketing and advertising professionals in the direct response industry and will focus on the proliferation of consumer testimonials in social media, claim substantiation challenges, and the role of the ERSP.
Manatt partner Ed Glynn will serve as a panelist in the session titled "The Life Cycle of a Direct Response Advertisement: From Idea to Execution" that will walk through the development of a direct response advertisement, including a discussion of potential legal and regulatory pitfalls to avoid along the way. At the American Conference Institute's Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Forum on Over the Counter Drugs, leading legal and regulatory professionals - including FDA representatives - will address challenges facing the nonprescription drug industry, focusing on such issues as advertising and promotion, labeling, trademarks, trade names and line extensions, and the modernization of the OTC monograph system.
