Professional Experience
Mr. Taylor is counsel in the Litigation group of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. His practice focuses on patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation. Mr. Taylor has experience representing both complainants and respondents in Section 337 patent infringement investigations before the ITC. He has also represented clients in Federal District Court patent infringement suits and in appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Taylor has rendered non-infringement and invalidity opinions as well as clearance and patentability opinions; prepared and prosecuted patent applications; conducted due diligence investigations; and advised individuals and companies on their intellectual property rights. He has worked on a wide range of software, electrical, and mechanical technologies including baseband processor chips, IEEE 1394 standard, light-emitting diodes, digital rights management, Internet browsers, medical devices, and financial products.
