Mr. Shack’s practice focuses on the healthcare industry and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Shack was a Supervising Deputy Attorney General for California for almost 30 years. He was in charge of the Attorney General’s Antitrust Section in Los Angeles from 1973-83, and the Charitable Trust Section in Sacramento from 1983-2002. During that time, he participated in major antitrust and charitable trust litigation involving price fixing and price maintenance, and a wide variety of other charitable trust litigation. Mr. Shack was Co-Chair of the National Association of Attorneys General Parens Patriae Committee and responsible for the California Attorney General’s charitable trust legislative and regulatory program. Before joining the California Attorney General’s Office in 1973, Mr. Shack spent two years with the Peace Corps in Guatemala, and two years with Camden Regional Legal Services where he represented migrant farm workers. |
