December 9, 2009 – Lindsay Conner, an entertainment partner in Manatt’s Los Angeles office, was among a group of studio executives, producers, managers, agents and attorneys asked to weigh in on the future of the film industry at Variety’s Future of Film Summit on Dec. 8 in Santa Monica.
In an article wrapping up the discussion for the print edition, Variety included select quotes from the panel.
Commenting on the film industry's quest for financing from new foreign sources as other funds dry up, Conner noted the current catchphrase that, in today's climate, "It’s Shanghai, Mumbai, Dubai or goodbye.”
Conner was the only lawyer quoted in the Variety report.
