Caleb Bean is an associate in the firm's Orange County office and a member of the patent prosecution and litigation practice group. Caleb assists clients in patent and trademark litigation in state and federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He also assists clients with prosecution of patent applications and post-grant proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Caleb's focus is on developing and executing worldwide patent and trademark protection strategies.
Prior to joining Manatt, Caleb prepared and prosecuted domestic, foreign, and international patent applications covering a wide range of technologies and industries for a law firm in San Diego. Before representing clients in patent, trade dress and trade secret litigation in San Diego, he prepared and prosecuted patent applications and worked with inventors to identify patentable aspects of their inventions as an intellectual property extern with the United States Navy Office of General Counsel, Naval Surface Warfare Center. Before working as an intellectual property extern, Caleb was a summer associate in the intellectual property practice groups of law firms in Chicago and Indianapolis, where he worked on patent litigation and prosecution.
