Above the Law awarded Manatt an A+ rating for the firm's gender diversity efforts. Manatt is one of only six law firms nationwide to receive an A+ in Above the Law's inaugural Gender Diversity Index.
The list aims to accurately compare firms' commitment to gender diversity by the numbers. In order to do so, Above the Law partnered with research company NavForward to categorize every lawyer in the top 1,200 firms in the country to create the complete index. The data in the study is from December 2014 and includes promotions from the entire 2014-2015 cycle.
Through a statistical analysis, the study calls attention to firms that hire and retain more women attorneys, promote more to partner or provide more leadership opportunities. The ATL Law Firm Gender Diversity Index is the most comprehensive and accurate database of its kind.
