DOJ Launches Pilot Program to Encourage Self-Reporting

DOJ Introduces Self-Reporting Incentives for Foreign Bribes
– Bloomberg BNA

Bloomberg BNA quoted Manatt's Jacqueline Wolff, co-chair of the firm's Corporate Investigations and White Collar Defense practice, for an article about the Justice Department's one-year pilot program designed to encourage companies to self-report violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Wolff said she thinks the department's goal of "providing greater transparency on charging decisions for companies is laudable," but that some aspects of the program could actually lead to fewer companies self-disclosing.
