Marketplace interviewed Manatt’s Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, a managing director with Manatt Health, for a segment about the Trump administration’s plan to turn Medicaid into a block grant system.
Brooks-LaSure said that, while states do need more latitude, there could be ways to provide flexibility without slashing budgets. “I think that needs to be the focus,” Brooks-LaSure said. “Can states get additional flexibility without putting people at risk?”
