Manatt’s Bruce Gyory, senior government and regulatory advisor, sat down with WCNY to discuss New York’s upcoming Constitutional Convention. Gyory stated he would remain agnostic for the interview, and gave what WCNY called a “down the middle” political assessment.
“New York’s constitution is as much a substance document as a procedural document,” said Bruce. “The reformers, many of whom want a [Constitutional Convention]…do not realize that the real way to get voters interested is to sell this as a substance document and get them intrigued.”
