The Hill quoted Manatt’s Cindy Mann, a partner with Manatt Health, on Medicaid expansions.

According to the publication, some states may end their Medicaid expansions earlier than 2024 if the Senate GOP’s healthcare bill becomes the law, because maintaining expanded eligibility could become too costly. While GOP leadership has released a repeal-and-replace bill that includes a three-year phase out, Mann told The Hill that it may not have a significant impact.

“I think a three-year glide path or a five-year glide path is not going to make a big difference in terms of whether states are able to keep the expansion going,” said Mann.
