Manatt’s Gregg Nunziata, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, spoke to the Daily Journal about President Donald Trump’s Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals nominee Kenneth Lee.
Lee had written several controversial articles on the topic of affirmative action and voting rights a couple of decades ago. The publication noted that Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris had objections about the nominee, as he never disclosed his writings to the judicial selection committee.
Nunziata commented on Lee’s pieces, saying, “Ken has seen how this works; he knows how this process works. I’m sure he can explain anything he’s written and put it in its proper context. He’s very well spoken; he has a very sober and lawyerly way about him.”
