Manatt Unveils New 'Surf Boardroom' in Los Angeles Headquarters

Manatt is excited to announce the opening of the Surf Boardroom in its Los Angeles headquarters. The seventh-floor East Tower boardroom, formerly a portion of the library, was remodeled and transformed into a surf- and beach-themed destination that spans over 4,500 square feet. Open to all employees, the boardroom was created as a collaborative and fun space for employees to enjoy. The room is equipped with a Starbucks coffee machine, ping-pong tables, an air hockey table, a television, board games and cozy reading quarters and it boasts panoramic views of Los Angeles.

Employees are encouraged to use the room as a space to host team-building events, meetings and interviews—but most important, as a place for all of us to stop by and recharge at our leisure. Whether it’s coming in for an afternoon coffee, meeting with coworkers to chat and play games, or finding a unique space to host meetings, the boardroom is open for all Los Angeles employees to use and enjoy.

While the boardroom does not permit outside food, there are candy jars that are continuously refilled, a refrigerator stocked with La Croix and a Starbucks machine that dispenses coffee, hot chocolate and chai tea lattes. Manatt celebrated the grand opening of the Surf Boardroom with light snacks, games, champagne and a toast from CEO and Managing Partner-Elect Donna Wilson and CEO and Managing Partner William Quicksilver.
