Co-leader of the privacy and data security practice and partner Scott Lashway was featured in a Cybersecurity Law Report article on the importance of training as a cybersecurity defense, guidelines for establishing a training program and who should be trained. In this article, Lashway emphasized the importance of empowering employees to be the first level of defense, saying, “I don’t think you’re going to ever achieve 100 percent awareness of every threat because the threats are constantly evolving. But I do think employees are smart enough at all levels to understand the risks that are associated with using the company’s equipment and infrastructure to be online.”
