Manatt Represents CircleUP in $150 Million Financing Transaction with Community Investment Management

Manatt’s Brian Korn, a partner in the firm’s financial services group and leader of the firm’s fintech practice, and corporate and finance associate Veronica Lah led a Manatt team representing CircleUP Network, Inc. and its affiliates in the closing of a $150 million financing transaction with Community Investment Management.

The proceeds of this deal were used to provide CircleUp with additional lending capital, to provide its new investment fund with levered returns, and to refinance its current loan purchase and participation facility with Community Investment Management.

The San Francisco-based financial technology company assists with the capital needs of businesses in the consumer products industry, and its borrower customers are purchasers of factoring and trade receivables assets.

Manatt's previous financial counsel work with CircleUP includes a $100 million whole loan purchase financing deal.

The Manatt team also included corporate and finance associates Eugene Choi and Lucille White.

Financial services partners Craig Miller and Ellen Marshall provided opinion committee review.
