Matthew Bottomly is an associate in the firm’s Orange County office and a member of the litigation group. He primarily focuses his practice on U.S. patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation.
Prior to joining Manatt, Matthew managed patent and intellectual property matters while working in-house for a number of consumer electronics and entertainment companies. Matthew also negotiated uniform technical standards and licensing terms for a standard-setting and patent-pooling joint industry venture. He has worked with a variety of technologies, including consumer electronics, telecommunications, satellites, cryptocurrencies, semiconductors, RFID, fantasy sports, video games, streaming media and augmented reality.
Matthew was also a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he worked with nanotechnology semiconductor patent applications.
