Michael Zorkin is a litigation associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Michael represents healthcare clients at all stages of litigation in complex disputes affecting the managed care industry, including provider disputes, contract disputes, ERISA actions, administrative hearings and government investigations. He also advises clients on a wide variety of legal and regulatory issues impacting the healthcare sector.
In addition to his industry-specific experience, Michael represents companies and high-net-worth individuals in high-stakes business litigation, with an emphasis on shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, business torts, unfair business practices actions, anti-SLAPP actions and real estate litigation.
Across practice groups, Michael is knowledgeable in all facets of civil and commercial litigation, including successfully litigating jury trials and administrative hearings, managing large-scale discovery, drafting and arguing case-dispositive motions, and achieving favorable resolution of cases in mediations.
Michael regularly takes on pro bono matters, representing nonprofit organizations and low-income individuals in matters ranging from immigration to juvenile rights.
Prior to joining Manatt, Michael served the community as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. During law school, he was the chief managing editor of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review.
