Bea Hinton is a Manatt Digital and Technology transactions associate in the firm’s New York office. Bea focuses her practice on content development, production, licensing, and distribution deals. She advises clients on strategies to protect and monetize content across digital and traditional media platforms, including live, online, mobile, print and television.
Bea also drafts and negotiates agreements for a variety of technology and IP transactions, such as software development and licensing, technology licensing, systems implementation, IP licensing, influencer programs, and talent contracts. She also advises on issues in digital marketing and data privacy and security.
Before joining Manatt, Bea worked as an advanced media and technology associate for a prominent international law firm in New York where she prepared, negotiated and documented technology, media, advertising and IP-related transactions. Bea also provided strategic brand protection counsel and advised clients on matters related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other advertising-related regulatory compliance. Clients regularly turned to her for counsel on a variety of data privacy and security issues, including data protection strategy, legal compliance, and the development of internal data security and privacy practices and policies with a particular focus on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
