COVID-19 metrics continue to improve in L.A. County.

L.A. County is poised to move into Tier 4 of the state’s Blueprint, with COVID-19 metrics continuing to fall.
The County continued to experience declines in COVID-19 cases, with new cases down 98% from the peak of the surge, deaths down 97% and hospitalizations down 94%.
L.A. County remains in Tier 3 of the State’s Blueprint.
On April 6, 2021, Governor Newsom announced that the state will eliminate the Blueprint tiers and reopen its economy on June 15.
Last Tuesday, March 30, 2021, the County’s adjusted case rate reached 3.1 new cases per 100,000 residents (down from 3.7/100,000), and the seven-day test positivity rate was 1.5% (down from 1.8%).
