Technology and Commercial Transactions

Email Phone

I represented the platform that facilitated the highly publicized sale of Beeple’s non-fungible token (NFT) artwork Everydays: The First 5,000 Days, in the first digital auction held by Christie’s.

Professional Background

I represent venture-backed startups and other established clients, including various technology companies, financial institutions and health care companies, through licensing, technology and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing matters, and developer and publisher agreements.

I also have a track record of working with disruptors in the growing cryptocurrency space with respect to blockchain-based technologies and transactions in the Web3 ecosystem. In this area, I have been particularly active in advising on the convergence of cryptocurrency with other emerging industries, such as the rise of tokenization in gaming and transactions in the nascent metaverse.

My own experience as an entrepreneur gives me firsthand experience tackling the gamut of challenges emerging companies face throughout their life cycles. Prior to joining Manatt, I also served as in-house counsel at a large technology company, where I played a key role in the growth of global strategic partnerships, M&A and corporate compliance operations. I leverage these experiences to advise companies at all stages in business transactions, ranging from strategic partnerships to financing matters and M&A deals.
