Scott Schwartz, leader of the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office, focuses his practice on corporate and financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of equity and debt, securities regulation, venture capital finance, joint ventures, licensing, contract negotiation and other general corporate representation. Scott represents investors and companies across a variety of industries, including digital media, health care, insurance, software development, biotechnology, manufacturing, entertainment and consumer products. Additionally, he advises public and private boards of directors on corporate governance matters and corporate structuring. Scott also leads supervision of Manatt’s transactional resources team and is co-chair of its associate leadership committee.
Scott has been recognized as an Emerging Leader by M&A Advisor, and his practice is a part of the firm’s nationally ranked M&A team, as featured in the 2021 and 2022 editions of The Legal 500 U.S.
Scott is an Adjunct Associate Professor at American University–Washington College of Law where he teaches Mergers and Acquisitions to third year law students.
