A senior health care executive with a tested record of achievement in academic medical center clinical program development, Tucker Leary leads successful efforts to expand physician networks, enhance funds flow and share incentive systems and increase clinical service line performance with transformative results.
As a Senior Advisor with Manatt Health Tucker coauthored the AAMC Funds Flow Collaborative Report and has assisted several academic medical centers in advancing their service line matrix structures, clinical service distinction and research integration.
Tucker previously served for over two decades as service line vice president of Yale New Haven Hospital, providing service line management for a large team, including 150 physicians and over 1,000 hospital staff members with experience in expanding the clinical services of the Heart and Vascular Center and improving its national ranking, rebuilding the Transplantation Center’s liver program, doubling the number of live donor kidney transplants, while substantially improving patient outcomes. The success of the liver service also led to the development of a digestive disease service line.
His efforts in collaboration with the Yale School of Medicine led to the recruitment of over 300 specialty physicians to multidisciplinary teams, the development of shared incentive compensation systems for faculty and the enhancement of funds flow between the Hospital and the School.
At the health system level, Tucker has completed several large practice acquisitions and integrated specialty physicians into service line structures. Additionally, he has supported the development and maintenance of an ambulatory strategy and facilities plan for a leading health system.
Before joining Manatt Health, Tucker was a managing member for a health consulting firm. He has served on the boards of several health and ambulatory organizations, including an organ donation bank and medical air transports for two health systems.
