Lisa Rosaya brings more than 20 years of experience successfully handling complex IP and trademark matters on a global scale with a particular focus on monetization strategies, branding, domain name and right of publicity issues

A trusted adviser for clients navigating challenges related to intellectual property (IP), with particular experience in trademarks, copyrights, designs, domain names and related IP rights, Rosaya deepens Manatt’s already robust offerings to provide strategic legal and business counsel to industry-leading companies as they look to protect and capitalize on their IP and pursue innovative revenue streams.

Rosaya’s clients regard her as a go-to adviser on IP-related issues, collaborating with her to develop strategic approaches to obtain, manage, protect and monetize IP assets on a global scale. She advises clients across the consumer products, cosmetics, fashion and luxury, food and beverage, social media, telecommunications, and media and entertainment industries on the protection and enforcement of their trademarks, copyrights, designs and related IP rights. Additionally, she conducts IP due diligence for corporate transactions and has experience perfecting IP security interests domestically and internationally.

With experience throughout the entertainment, health care, digital media, and consumer product and retail sectors, Rosaya is an experienced adviser on both IP and advertising and right of publicity issues, helping clients draft and negotiate IP and advertising agreements and IP-related provisions in agreements in M&A and commercial transactions. This work includes licensing agreements, co-branding and joint development agreements, settlement/coexistence agreements, social media influencer agreements, model releases, stock and asset purchase agreements, security agreements, and subscription agreements, among others. She also has particular experience helping clients recover infringing domain names through the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy.

Prior to joining Manatt, Rosaya was an IP partner at a large global law firm. Earlier in her career, she acted as a trademark examining attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Rosaya received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from Boston University, cum laude.
