Variety’s Dealmakers of 2023: Hollywood’s Dealmakers Kept Industry on Course in a Turbulent Year
– Variety

Manatt Entertainment Leader Jordan Bromley and Partners Christopher Chatham and Sophia Yen were named to Variety’s 2023 Dealmakers Impact Report, which recognizes prominent advisers guiding clients through high-profile and high-value transactions.

Bromley was recognized for his role leading Manatt Entertainment, which has helped negotiate more than $3 billion in music transactions in the past year, and spearheading Manatt’s music streaming royalty calculator and infographic, which shows U.S. artists royalty payouts from Spotify and Apple Music.

Noted for his client list spanning the entertainment industry, Chatham’s profile highlighted his groundbreaking deal for “Dr. Phil” McGraw in the launch of Merit Street Media and its “Dr. Phil Primetime” show. Discussing Logan Paul’s Prime beverage line’s $1.2 billion in annual sales, Chatham said its success cements “the informal-influencer-style approach.”

Yen was noted for representing chef David Chang’s Majordomo Media in multiple deals, including a new headquarters lease and a production deal with Wheelhouse, and FilmRise in raising its credit facility to $125 million. She was also recognized for her work as outside counsel to AMC in its innovative distribution deal for the TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film.
