Manatt’s Jacobs, Lee and Wollman Named Top IP Lawyers by Los Angeles Business Journal

The Los Angeles Business Journal named Manatt partners Robert Jacobs, Mark S. Lee and Shari Mulrooney Wollman to this year's "Who's Who in LA Law: Angelenos to Know in Intellectual Property Law." The list includes 40 of the region's "stellar" IP lawyers.

Introducing the feature, the Los Angeles Business Journal says that "having the right Intellectual Property lawyer may be one of the most crucial business decisions you and your organization make. It can mean the difference between protecting what you've worked so hard to establish for the long term and losing everything."

"From high-profile music disputes to nonpublic film copyright quarrels," the publication reports that Robert Jacobs, chair of Manatt's Entertainment Litigation practice, "litigates for all matters stemming from claims over artists' and companies' rights to their creative works." Jacobs is currently involved in several notable copyright, ownership and royalty matters involving top talent and major companies in the music industry.

Manatt partner Mark Lee, the Los Angeles Business Journal says, "is a litigator who has had great success representing - and counseling - clients in right of publicity, copyright, and trademark infringement matters." He has litigated or counseled regarding the rights of publicity and/or trademark rights for major recording artists and celebrities.

Shari Mulrooney Wollman, co-chair of Manatt's Intellectual Property practice, "focuses on intellectual property, entertainment, antitrust and media litigation," the publication reports, representing a range of clients, including leading computer and multimedia software developers and publishers, advertising networks, motion picture studios and apparel and luxury goods manufacturers, among others.
