Home Care Agencies Compliant with NY Regulations

Crain's Health Pulse

Crain's New York quoted Anthony Fiori, a managing director with Manatt Health, in an article about the new Fair Labor Standards Act as it applies to home care agencies. Home care agencies had to begin complying in October with new Fair Labor Standards Act regulations related to wages for employees' overtime and travel expenses.

Fiori said that it is likely that the FLSA changes did not affect all home care agencies equally. Many agencies were at least in partial compliance with the rules before they were put in place, meaning their contracts had already accounted for those wages.
