Tashman Speaks to National Law Review on Entertainment Career, Advice for Attorneys

Manatt’s Monika Tashman, a partner in the firm's entertainment group, spoke to The National Law Review about her career in the music and legal industries, and the advice she would give to young attorneys hoping to follow her career path.

Tashman has helped a number of clients navigate new technologies and distribution channels with innovative solutions and problem-solving techniques.

Entertainment group leader Lindsay Conner praised Tashman’s experience with the changing landscape of the entertainment industry.

“Monika’s deep experience in helping clients navigate the challenges and opportunities in brand reputation and awareness in a constantly evolving entertainment landscape speaks to her entrepreneurial thinking and approach,” said Lindsay.

Tashman said that attorneys looking to succeed in the entertainment industry should have a few key traits and should be confident in their abilities.

“You need to be a hyper-connector, relationship builder, futurist and multitasker,” she said. “There is no one out there with the exact experience, skill set, background, perspective, passion and personality that you have."
