WBFO spoke to Manatt's Joel Ario, a managing director with Manatt Health Solutions, for a broadcast interview on what could happen if the U.S. Supreme Court rules against the Obama administration in King v. Burwell.
WBFO, Buffalo's NPR news station, reports that a decision is expected by the end of the month. The case challenges the Affordable Care Act and argues subsidies for health insurance should only be available in states that set up their own insurance marketplaces.
"If I'm a governor in one of the red states, I'm going to be concerned about making some kind of arrangement with the federal government to basically run my exchange," said Ario. "But I'm going to be more open to a private company."
