Position Responsibilities

Manatt Health is seeking analysts to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally recognized health care strategy and policy consulting team that is passionate about improving health care. As an Analyst, you will support client project teams in the development of client deliverables on a broad range of substantive issues, including payment and delivery system transformation; health system and academic medical center strategy; Medicaid policy, redesign, and innovation; Medicare policy and strategy; digital health strategy; and life sciences market access, coverage, and reimbursement strategies. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Project management support, including logistics, scheduling, tracking team progress and outstanding issues, budget tracking, note-taking, agendas and follow-up items, monthly summaries, and managing project team documents.
  • Support secondary qualitative research on health care business and policy issues. Perform literature searches and review, abstract, and synthesize information from program or regulatory documents, reports, and articles.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring federal and state health policy developments, health care provider markets, and other emerging health care trends. Compile and track information in spreadsheets, SharePoint sites, OneDrive cloud storage, and databases.
  • Support quantitative and/or qualitative analyses, including cleaning, organizing, and analyzing data. Summarize information using descriptive statistics, tables, and figures.
  • Contribute to client presentation development and design.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree with a focus on public health, business administration, public administration, public policy, health administration, or health care management or other related areas, with an anticipated graduation date in spring 2024.
  • Internship experience, volunteer experience, relevant lived experience, and/or one year of work experience in health care, health equity, or other health care–related fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills in a variety of settings and media.
  • Ability to work independently and on teams on meaningful projects that can bring about real change.
  • Active involvement in a health-related organization on campus is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including professional proficiency with OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (proficiency with pivot tables, data validation, and complex and nested formulas is preferred).

Compensation is based on years of relevant experience and advanced degrees $72,000 - $77,000.
