Avi Herring is a manager with Manatt Health, an interdisciplinary policy and business advisory practice of Manatt. He provides project management and research support to healthcare stakeholders across a broad range of key healthcare issues, including payment and delivery system transformation; Medicaid policy, redesign and innovation; health reform implementation; health IT strategy; and pharmaceutical market access, coverage and reimbursement. He also monitors federal and state health policy developments, healthcare provider markets and other emerging healthcare trends.
Prior to Manatt, Avi was a planning executive at UJA-Federation of New York. At UJA, he played a lead role in key organizational strategic initiatives, including redesigning a major health insurance reimbursement program for more than 3,000 individuals, developing an allocations strategy for a Hurricane Sandy disaster relief fund, and designing a new initiative to strengthen civil society and moderate leadership in Israel. He also managed significant grant portfolios and educated volunteer task forces on making strategic funding decisions.
