Aaron Reuben represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters and helps them navigate complex transactions, real estate projects and litigation. His practice spans acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing and real estate development, including construction, joint ventures and development agreements, as well as environmental law and litigation in these areas.

Aaron has litigated a range of real estate and environmental cases in California courts and in arbitration. He has substantial experience with the California Environmental Quality Act, the California Coastal Act, hazardous substance and Superfund laws, the California Public Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act. He also assists clients with land use and environmental law issues, including permitting and regulatory compliance and environmental review.

Aaron works closely with attorneys across the Firm to support clients facing real estate, regulatory, environmental and business issues, using his valuable litigation experience to help clients assess and mitigate risk.

• Advised private and public companies in leasing and purchase and sale of real property.
• Represented a real estate development company in mixed-use development in San Francisco.
• Represented energy developers in land use, permitting and environmental review for utility-scale battery energy storage projects and solar projects.
• Defended a telecommunications company in contractual dispute concerning liabilities arising from formerly owned real property and a Superfund site.
• Advised a public technology company in connection with expansion into new and existing data centers in England and Sweden.
• Defended a private company named as a defendant in lawsuits alleging exposure to asbestos.
• Advised a private equity company on acquisitions and investments, including advice regarding indemnities, contamination and site risks, transfer of permits, and risks related to PFAS (“forever chemicals”).
