Amanda Eisenberg is a New York City-based consultant at Manatt Health, where she advises health care providers, employers, unions and other mission-driven organizations on health policy, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and editorial strategy. Drawing on her background in journalism and health policy, she helps organizations navigate complex policy environments, engage key stakeholders, and develop strategies to advance their priorities.

Amanda advises safety-net hospitals in New York on state health policy, funding opportunities and regulatory developments. Her work includes developing narratives to support state financing requests, designing stakeholder engagement strategies and identifying opportunities to elevate hospital priorities among state decision-makers, including the governor’s office, Legislature and regulatory agencies.

As editorial lead for The 80 Million, Manatt Health’s Medicaid policy thought leadership platform, Amanda shapes editorial strategy and works with subject matter authorities to develop articles and podcast episodes that translate complex health policy developments for a broad audience. Amanda also advises clients on strategic public health communications and media engagement, developing and executing tailored strategies that include thought leadership, executive messaging, advocacy campaigns and multimedia content. Her work spans op-eds, digital content, podcasts, presentations and multi-channel, clinician-led campaigns. Previously, Amanda spent a decade as a health care journalist covering New York City policy and politics, including Medicaid redesign, hospital funding and operations, women’s health, infectious disease, vaccine access and the COVID-19 pandemic response, most notably at POLITICO New York.
