Bath Quoted in STAT on How Budget Debates May Decrease Threat of Medicaid Funding Cuts

Manatt Health Partner was quoted in STAT discussing the recent debates surrounding the budget bill in Congress and how the stalled decision may impact potential cuts to the Medicaid program.  

According to the article, there remains disagreement between House and Senate Republicans concerning how much to cut from Medicaid funding. Given that some representatives are pushing for fewer cuts, Medicaid may face smaller cuts when the House and Senate reach a compromise. “But how much safer is still an incredibly difficult thing to estimate,” Bath said.
