Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP currently has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Accounting Department. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform day-to-day processing of payments and ensure completion in an effective, accurate and timely manner.

  • Compile, verify and process Firm and client chargeable invoices and check requests.

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and related issues.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are updated and reconcile related transactions.

  • Responds and handles vendor inquires and reviews vendor accounts and resolves vendor issues timely and professionally.

  • Schedule, print, and obtain signatures on paper checks on a bi-weekly basis

  • Record miscellaneous transactions into accounting software, including bank transfers and debits

  • Manipulate and format data for upload into accounting software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have 2-3 years of AP experience. Previous law firm or professional services experience highly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have great customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.

  • Must be extremely detail oriented and have excellent follow through skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

  • Knowledge of Chrome River and Aderant software highly preferred.

The base annual pay range for this role is between $55,000-$64,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
