Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP currently has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Accounting Department.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day processing of payments and ensure completion in an effective, accurate and timely manner.
Compile, verify and process Firm and client chargeable invoices and check requests.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and related issues.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are updated and reconcile related transactions.
Responds and handles vendor inquires and reviews vendor accounts and resolves vendor issues timely and professionally.
Schedule, print, and obtain signatures on paper checks on a bi-weekly basis
Record miscellaneous transactions into accounting software, including bank transfers and debits
Manipulate and format data for upload into accounting software.
Qualifications
Candidates must have 2-3 years of AP experience. Previous law firm or professional services experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have great customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
Must be extremely detail oriented and have excellent follow through skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Knowledge of Emburse and Aderant software is a plus.
Demonstrated reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid (remote and in-office) team environment The Firm operates on a hybrid work schedule requiring three days of in‑office presence and two days of remote work each week. All employees must remain available for onsite work up to five days per week as business needs dictate. This schedule is subject to change; flexibility is required.
The base annual pay range for this role is between $55,000-$64,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
