Position Overview: 

At Manatt Health, you will work with a team of passionate and driven professionals on the development of business strategy and policy recommendations for our clients. Across our practice, our professionals work on a broad range of substantive issues, including payment and delivery system transformation; health system and academic medical center strategy; Medicaid policy, redesign, and innovation; Medicare policy and strategy; the behavioral health care delivery system; digital health strategy; health care investment due diligence; life sciences market access, coverage, and reimbursement strategies.   This role will largely support the investment community via due diligence assignments analyzing the policy and market factors impacting a given sub-sector. 

Responsibilities:

  •  Project management of specific due diligence assignment project tasks or work streams, including tracking team progress and outstanding issues, agendas and follow-up items, and managing project team documents.

  •  Lead primary qualitative research on health care business and policy issues that may impact the risks or opportunities in a given healthcare sub-sector.

  •  Monitor federal and state health policy developments, health care provider markets, and other emerging healthcare trends. 

  •  Lead quantitative analyses, including cleaning, organizing, and analyzing data. Summarize information using descriptive statistics, tables, and figures.

  •  Contribute to client presentation development, design, and delivery.

Qualifications:

  •  Master’s degree in business administration, public health, public administration, public policy, health administration, economics, health care management, or another relevant area from an accredited graduate program.  

  •  Two years or more of relevant work experience in the health care industry is highly preferred.

  •  Two years or more of relevant work experience in professional services consulting is highly preferred. 

  •  Relevant internships and/or lived experience, with a demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm for business strategy and marketplace issues, health equity, the investment lifecycle, and other health care trends is a plus. 

  •  Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, communication, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills in a variety of settings and media. 

  •  Ability to work independently, be part of a team, and collaborate with others, as well as eagerness and curiosity to learn new topic areas quickly. 

  •  Strong computer skills, including professional-level proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Compensation is based on years of relevant experience and advanced degrees $130,000 - $165,000.
