Brief Description:
The New York office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a highly qualified associate with a minimum of three years of technology transactions experience to join our growing team.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrated technology transactions experience. Ideal candidates will have experience drafting and negotiating agreements for technology focused transactional matters, including software development and licensing, technology licensing (e.g. SaaS, reseller agreements, etc.), hardware and systems implementation. Experience with issues relating to content management, advertising/ad tech and FinTech is preferred. Digital media/content or traditional advertising experience a plus.
The Digital & Technology Transactions group handles innovative technology transactions for some of the most prominent technology, entertainment, consumer technology, consumer electronics, and digital health companies in the US. Our group also works closely with the venture capital and M&A practices at Manatt. They further advise clients on strategies ranging from the implementation of software, AI systems, agents, or tools, to helping clients with transactions ranging from e-commerce to the monetization of content and software across digital and traditional media platforms. The group also advises clients on the protection of intellectual property and related rights through the development, production, licensing and distribution processes.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of technology transactions experience
Stellar academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills
Strong client-facing skills with demonstrated ability to deal directly with clients
Effective and efficient problem solvers with the ability to work independently and proactively
Admitted to the NY bar and in good standing

Salary
The base annual pay range for this role is between $250,000 - $370,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical, financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.
