Manatt’s corporate and finance transactional attorneys have broad capabilities and extensive experience executing complex domestic and cross-border transactions covering public and private capital markets involving equity and debt, joint ventures, private equity, emerging growth and venture capital, venture capital finance, M&A, fund formations, licensing, digital and technology transactions, governance, securities regulations, and SEC reporting.
We represent clients, ranging from venture-backed startups to Fortune 100 companies, in transactions across a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology and digital media, consumer products, entertainment, financial services, and fintech. Manatt’s unique professional services approach coupled with our deep industry expertise allows us to build relationships and develop credibility with clients and, in turn, perform cutting-edge work and help guide them through a dynamic, ever-evolving legal and business landscape.
Manatt’s corporate and finance transactional attorneys work collaboratively across offices and practices and engage in a wide range of corporate transactions across our groups and industry sectors. We are looking for candidates with broad capital markets, corporate and finance transactions experience and demonstrated experience leading transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities / broker-dealer, capital markets, initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, and fintech matters. Ideal candidates will have experience drafting registration statements and M&A agreements, negotiating with opposing counsel, and leading teams on diligence and closing transactions. Experience supervising and mentoring junior associates is a plus.
Responsibilities:
One to two years of capital markets, corporate and finance transactional experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent legal research and analytical skills
A self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent team player skills with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and the flexibility to engage and collaborate across the firm’s capabilities and practice areas
Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, as well as to develop creative solutions in order to meet client and team needs
Bar membership in good standing in DC

Salary
The base annual pay range for this role is between $215,000 - $225,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical, financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.
