Position Overview
Manatt is seeking a highly qualified individual to support project staffing and resource management strategies across large-scale consulting engagements. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced client services professional with demonstrated success in consulting or resource management. This role reports to the Firm’s Director of Consulting Engagement in the Talent team.
Key Responsibilities
This position will work with the Consulting Engagement team and project leaders to support project staffing needs. Specifically, this individual will:
Manage staffing requests and collaborate with project leads and team members to define current and future project needs.
Ensure matters are appropriately staffed in an efficient and timely manner by monitoring current and anticipated consultant utilization and assessing individual capacity.
Facilitate consultant and project forecasting and evaluate forecasts compared to actual project time to ensure consultant time is aligned with project needs.
Maintain system for tracking and reporting on consultant experiences, qualifications, and interests.
Oversee the daily management of the firm’s resource management system.
Work collaboratively with the firm’s Strategic Growth and Talent teams to ensure consultant headcount and skills align with the firm’s current and future staffing needs.
Develop reports that enhance the effectiveness of the Consulting Engagement team’s operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7+ years of experience managing projects within a consulting firm and/or in a similar role at a professional services organization
Proficient in resource / project management
Effective communicator with the ability to interface with project leadership
Proficient in Microsoft suite, including Excel, Teams, Planner, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive and SharePoint
Experience with Workday and its Projects module preferred
Experience working in a team environment
Experience in setting up new operations, internal policies and procedures
Enjoy setting up new processes and problem-solving
The base annual pay range for this role is between $150,000-$172,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
