Herring Quoted in Wall Street Journal on Health Care Cuts in OBBBA
Manatt Health Managing Director was quoted in The Wall Street Journal discussing how health care cuts resulting from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) will affect Americans.
The article cited Manatt Health’s analysis that the bill will cause nearly 8.7 million Americans to lose Medicaid coverage over the next decade, will reduce Medicaid payments to hospitals by $665 billion and will result in states having $1.3 trillion less in federal and state funds to spend on Medicaid. Herring said red and purple expansion states will be hit hard since many rely heavily on provider taxes.
