Manatt Health Care Litigation Partner Gregory Pimstone authored an article for Daily Journal discussing how California’s approach to reimbursement could be made more efficient when patients receive care for emergency services from out-of-network providers.

In the article, he described the state’s current procedures surrounding payment for both managed care health plans and health insurers, noting the differences in methodology and offering solutions for how to prevent endless “the cycle of litigation” between payors and emergency providers.
