Manatt has earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The firm was designated a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality on the survey, which reports on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer workplace equality.
Currently in its 17th year, the report evaluates each participating company’s LGBTQ-related policies and practices against the CEI’s criteria.
For a business to earn a score of 100 percent, it must offer “parity between different- and same-sex spouses and have coverage available for domestic partners of enrollees,” “must remove transgender exclusions from all benefits plans” and “must include LGBTQ suppliers as part of their supplier diversity program (if such a program is in existence),” according to the Human Rights Campaign website.
