Bach to Moderate AI Copyright Panel at The McCarthy Institute’s Copyright Symposium

Manatt Entertainment Partner Nathaniel Bach will moderate a panel session titled “Rapid Evolution: The Intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Copyright” at the inaugural Copyright Symposium presented by The McCarthy Institute at ASU Law and the UCLA Institute for Technology, Law and Policy, to be held in person in Los Angeles, California, on March 16, 2023.

The panel will explore the legal complexities of copyrightable material in the artificial intelligence realm, including authorship, ownership, liability and the consequences of training AI systems with copyrighted works. This year’s theme for the symposium is “Transform: A New Horizon for Copyright,” where the foremost copyright scholars, practitioners and industry leaders to engage with cutting-edge issues within copyright law.
